In this baking series, I’ll help you re-create your favourite coffee shop classic desserts at home! Expect crowd-pleasing favourites with a homemade twist – nothing too fancy, just really good cake, biscuits and tray bakes that taste just as good (if not better) than the ones behind the glass counter. Let’s bring that cosy café feeling to your own kitchen, one bake at a time!
1. Fruit Scones
There’s something truly comforting about fluffy Fruit Scones, fresh from the oven – split in half and loaded with a generous dollop of clotted cream and a spoonful of jam. Heaven! They’re quick, easy, and best of all? You’ve probably got everything you need sitting in the cupboard already.
2. Blueberry Muffins
Follow this easy recipe to bake the best ever Blueberry Muffins! Made with buttermilk for an irresistibly soft and fluffy texture, each muffin is packed with juicy blueberries and finished with a sprinkle of demerara sugar for a golden crunchy top. Nothing beats the smell of warm blueberry muffins fresh from the oven – enjoy!
3. Bakewell Cake
Every coffee shop needs some sort of Bakewell dessert! This cake takes its cue from the classic Bakewell tart, with two layers of sweet almond sponge sandwiched with cherry jam and topped with thick white icing.
